Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was a highly anticipated new story in the Final Fantasy VII remakes from Square Enix and was voted the Most Anticipated Game of 2024 at the 2023 Game of the Year Awards. The games are available on the PS5 and PC and are a reimagining of the iconic original game with new elements included such as mini games, new means of transportation, and new story angles. With the original game being split into a trilogy, the story has expanded and builds off the tie-in games with a new twist for fans while still maintaining a strong sense of nostalgia for everyone to enjoy. From the vibrance of the materia-enriched lands to the darkness of the dystopian Shinra reactors, don’t miss your chance to experience the stunning cinematics of Final Fantasy on a X3100i BenQ gaming projector. Welcome to the BenQ Game Zone Series!

The Unknown Journey Continues

Every step you take has been decided by Fate, but as Cloud and his team face-off with the fallen hero, Sephiroth, and Shinra Electric Power Company, they battle Fate itself and change the path they were destined to walk on. Now, every decision they make is their own as they journey across the lands, making new friends and foes along the way, searching for a way to defeat Sephiroth and take down Shinra. Regardless of if this is your first time playing or you’re appreciating the game once again, take this opportunity to truly experience the beauty of every area with BenQ CinematicColor technology on the X3100i. The visuals have come a long way since the original version, and every region of the world is full of crisp details, vibrant colors, and realistic natural sounds, enhance by BenQ CinematicSound technology.

From the Grasslands to Junon to the Golden Saucer, every region has a distinct look and color palette. But knowing how to navigate the areas is crucial for completing quests, and the detailed map provides the assistance you’ll need to see where you’ve been, where you’re going, and what is left to explore (pictured left). The markers for side-quests and your main destination are clearly visible on the X3100i, and unexplored areas are covered in a light fog. You can drop a pin on an area you want to head towards, or view locations based on Story, Quests, Intel, or Chadley specifically. The bottom left displays everything available in that region and your discovery progress of these markers. With a BenQ gaming projector, every important detail of the map is clear to see.

There are many new and old enemies to battle in these large, explorable areas and as you go on side-quests. As an RPG, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has complex and expansive battle abilities for players beyond the normal attack. If you open the command menu and enter Tactical Mode, time slows down so you can strategically select your next attack (pictured right). Utilize weapon abilities, magic, limit breaks, synergy abilities, or summons to defeat your enemies in battle! Anticipate their attacks and keep an eye on their health bars with the vivid colors and details on the X3100i.

With materia granting you access to the power of the gods and a clear line of sight for your next attack, supported by BenQ CinematicColor technology, you can defeat any enemy in your path with confidence!

Heroes of the Earth

Shinra Electric is sucking the life out of the planet and Aerith, the last remaining descendant of the Cetra, can feel the pain the planet is in. As they explore new areas and the old reactors, different members of the team remark about how the Earth is trying to heal and that natural materia, left untouched, brings life to the area it is in. They are determined to save the planet, even at the cost of their own lives. The contrast of nature and the dystopia cities was done incredibly well, and the destroyed reactors have beauty brought back to them as nature is slowly taking back over. With the bright, true-to-life colors provided by the X3100i, you’ll be able to see this bold contrast and discover the hidden beauty of nature within the dystopian areas that may not be as vibrant or detailed on a smaller screen.

While many RPG titles include a large party of playable characters, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has an ever-growing team with distinct characters who have unique skillsets. In the original game, not all of the team were playable characters, but now you can play as every member of the party and upgrade their skillsets and weapons. Though you meet some characters a while before they join your party, they’re no less equipped when they do join, and they’ll provide a helpful hand in battle.

For each party member, they have special upgrades and weapons to unlock that relate directly to their skillsets. There are also items any party member can use, such as the summons. Some quests only allow for certain members to join, but when you’re exploring you can utilize all of them. However, you have to set up a primary team of three and can only use those directly in battles, while the other members help out. You can create multiple teams of three or simply switch out characters as you play with the Main Manu (pictured right). This is also where you upgrade everything and check character status. This is a great place to get a good look at the characters realistic designs with the vivid details provided by the X3100i

While the cutscenes overall look stunning and realistic on the projector, there is one scene where Cloud’s memories are trying to correct themselves that stood out the most. As they’re exploring the rebuilt Nibelheim and Cloud goes into the inn, the screen glitches and he begins to remember being there with Zack, who he had previously forgotten. In the old game, it may have been difficult to discern between the present and the past or figure out who this character is from a glance, but with the update graphics and clear visuals projected on the X3100i, players can quickly determine that it is Zack sitting there talking to Cloud before it glitches back to the present. On a PC or TV, you may not be able to see Cloud’s look of realization in his eyes, but with the large screen possibilities with the X3100i, the pain and shock is crystal clear in his mako-infused eyes.

From the original game to the movie to the tie-in games, the characters of Final Fantasy VII have continuously been given life and been refined. Cloud’s distinct hair, Barret’s arm-gun, Red XIII’s scars, and other important character designs are displayed in stunning detail thanks to the X3100i, with the ability to project a screen up to 150 inches you’ll feel as though you’re fighting alongside the team!

Materia, Summons, Chocobos, and More!

Beyond the main storyline, there is a multitude of things to do within the game that can be a lot of fun or present a new challenge. One big fun thing is the inclusion of mini games in different areas, such as Queens Blood, G-Bike, Chocobo Races, and 3D Brawler, where you can experience different challenges and graphics. 3D brawler specifically changes the characters into 3D polygons for a one-on-one fight, and these graphics look incredible with the 4K HDR-PRO projection from the X3100i.

Summons are a key factor for success in battles, and materia allows you to summon the different deities after you upgrade their materia at their respective shrines (example pictured left). These shrines are not easy to get to though, and you’ll have to utilize the different forms of traversal available to find them, specifically unique Chocobos! There are five types of Chocobo, Regular, Mountain, Sky, Ocean, and Forest, that each provide unique forms of traversal skills. They’re a great way to get around and each is a distinct color that’s directly related to their skill. Dress up your Chocobo with customizable saddles and reigns, or even outfits for races, and enjoy every enhanced detail of their design with a BenQ gaming projector.

Regardless of if you’re new to Final Fantasy or have been playing these games since you were a kid, every game is an opportunity to experience an incredible and cinematic story. Enjoy all 14 chapters of this stunning masterpiece with 4K visuals, crisp and clear sound, and a fully immersive experience on a X3100i gaming projector.
